Results

Well #1 before transfection

The photo was taken of well #1 after adding the 1.5 million cells. Even after trypsinizing, the confluency appears to be 95%

well #2 before transfection

The photo was taken of well #2 after adding the 1.5 million cells

Conclusion

Based off the results, we can conclude the experiment was successful even with highly confluent wells before transfection. In the experiment, we successfully transferred exogenous DNA into the cells and got them to express it, even though the cell density was high. The experiment also demonstrated the effectiveness of the calcium phosphate method, providing valuable knowledge on an important process. This method in particular seems to be well liked due to the low costs associated.
